The St.Ann’s School of Nursing was established in 1974 by the Sisters of St. Ann (Luzern) is an unaided minority educational institution started with 7 students. It is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council in 1973 and State Nursing Council TamilNadu (G.O. Ms.No.375 dated 03.03.1979). In the year 2011, we have started our B.Sc (N) programme with 40 students, then it was increased up to 50 students in 2015. It grew into a full-fledged Nursing college imparting education in, nursing. and is now administered by St. Ann Society, Southern Province, Bangalore. Today, it is one of the top-ranked educational institutions in Tamilnadu.
At present, our Nursing College takes rightful pride in having a record of cent percent results with DISTINCTIONS and FIRST CLASS in almost all the academic years. So far, both school and college have educated and trained about 1234 dedicated and competent young women, to take up the first level leadership positions in various leading hospitals both in India and abroad. The motto of St.Ann’s College of Nursing will remain “Serve and Shine” in the Spirit of Christ, bringing healing to all.
